The invincible Arrogate – the Travers Stakes, Breeders’ Cup Classic and Pegasus World Cup champion deservedly proclaimed as the ‘World’s Best Racehorse’ – will triy to continue his dominance in the $10 million Dubai World Cup this Saturday (March 25).
Look no further than Empire City Casino at Yonkers Raceway as the place to be for simulcast wagering on this epic.
The four-year-old son of Unbridled Song, trainer Bob Baffert and regular jockey Mike Smith have headed halfway across the world to square off against such familiar names as Keen Ice, Hoppertunity, Gun Runner, Lani and Mubtaahji in the elite field of 14, but New York-area racing enthusiasts only need a short trip to Empire City Casino just north of New York City to partake in the betting action.
Post time for the World Cup is 12:45 p.m.
After finishing third in his career debut, Arrogate has reeled off six consecutive wins (including the trio of multi-million dollar stakes) in dramatic and emphatic fashion.
Meydan Racecourse is the host of the Dubai World Cup Carnival, and Yonkers will be accepting wagering on the last four races – all Group 1 affairs – on the program.
