Trot Insider has learned that Irène Turenne (née Nantel) of Le Gardeur, Que., former Standardbred owner and the wife of trainer Réal Turenne, passed away on Thursday, March 17 at the age of 79.
Irène Turenne was the mother of the late driver Serge Turenne (Linda Bélanger). She is survived by grandchildren Eric and Jessica Turenne, great-granddaughter Lianne Turenne, her brother, sisters, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at the Charles Rajotte Funeral Complex in Repentigny on Monday, March 21 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The funeral will take place on Monday, March 21 at 8:30 p.m. at the Chapel at the Complex in Repentigny.
