Due to the outbreak of the EHV-1 equine virus, the following rules will apply to all horses entering Northville Downs.

Horses last racing in PA or stabled in PA will be excluded from racing at Northville Downs until further notice.

Horses stabled at any quarantined facility in Ohio will be excluded from racing at Northville Downs until further notice.

Horses that have raced outside of Michigan since Jan. 1, 2018 will require a health certificate completed by a licensed veterinarian dated after their last start outside Michigan that will need to be submitted to the MGCB on or before race day.

All horses will need to submit a form prior to entry to Northville Downs outlining the following: date, name of horse in to race, horse’s temperature 24 hours prior to post time and the morning of the race (about 12 hours prior to post time), also the printed name of the person taking the horse’s temperature. Horses with recorded temperature above 101 degrees Fahrenheit will not be allowed on the grounds and the judges should be notified under the standard scratched sick protocol.

Horsepeople are to bring a pair of cross ties with them for each horse in to race and these cross ties should be utilized in the ship in barn and the paddock areas. There will be no cross ties supplied by Northville Downs.

These rules will apply for both qualifying and race nights.
