The Ontario Racing Commission announced today that the three-year-old Ontario Sires Stakes (OSS) sustaining payment of $700 will be due on March 15, 2013.

Forms will be mailed out this week to the corresponding officer listed with Standardbred Canada for each 2010 OSS-nominated foal. The deadline for the two-year-old sustaining payment will also be March 15, 2013, and those forms will be mailed next week.

The sustaining form is sent as a courtesy but not required. In absence of a form, the name and tattoo number of the horse should be written on the cheque or money order, made payable to the Ontario Sires Stakes and mailed to:

Just another example of how the Liberal government has negatively impacted our lives. Oh and Shaun, you left out the name of one of the main culprits......Paul.Hopefully today the newly appointed Minister of Agriculture will have a serious look at this matter.

Hard to have stake races when you have no racetracks. Thanks Dalton, Dwight, Ted.
