The Woodbine Entertainment Group is advising horsepeople that this Friday will be the last qualifying session at Mohawk Racetrack before qualifiers move to Woodbine Racetrack.
Entries for this Friday’s qualifiers at Mohawk are due by Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Qualifiers will begin at 10 a.m. Friday morning.
Beginning next week, qualifiers will be held on Thursday afternoons at Woodbine Racetrack beginning at 4:30 p.m.
The entry box for Woodbine qualifiers will close at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesdays.
While qualifiers will be regularly scheduled for Thursdays, there will be a slight change to the schedule over the holidays.
There will be no qualifiers on Thursday, December 25 and Thursday, January 1. Instead, there will be an extra qualifying session on Monday, January 5 before qualifiers return to be held regularly on Thursdays.
The qualifying schedule for the remainder of December and the beginning of January appears below.
Friday, December 5 – 10:00 a.m. at Mohawk
Thursday, December 11 – 4:30 p.m. at Woodbine
Thursday, December 18 – 4:30 p.m. at Woodbine
Monday, January 5 – 4:30 p.m. at Woodbine
Thursday, January 8 – 4:30 p.m. at Woodbine
Horsepeople are also advised that beginning next week Woodbine will be open for training on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Training will also be available before each card of live racing beginning at 3 p.m.
