Herbert Boggs Passes

Trot Insider has learned that longtime standardbred horse breeder and owner Herbert Boggs of Duncan, B.C. recently passed away at the age of 80.

Boggs, who was a fixture in the western Canadian harness racing industry, owned horses out west with Jim Marino and in Ontario with Joe Hudon.

Boggs was a part owner of 1994 Metro Pace winner Rover Hanover and Buttafuco, who banked more than $615,000 in purses during his career.

Details regarding arrangements are unknown at this time, but Trot Insider will update this notice with more information when it is made available.
