Western Terror On The Move

After nearly a decade in Pennsylvania, pacing stallion Western Terror is on the move to a new location for stud duty in 2017.

Ohio's Hagemeyer Farms is thrilled to announce the arrival of Western Terror to their stallion roster for 2017. Western Terror, p, 3, 1:48.3 ($1,289,422) is by Western Hanover and out of the Artsplace mare, Arterra, who is a full sister to the great sire, Artiscape. His dam also produced his full sibling in the amazing If I Can Dream p, 3, 1:49.4 ($2,038,153) and was a 2012 Hall of Fame inductee.

A relentless competitor on the track, Western Terror was the winner of the Breeders Crown, Cane Pace, Windy City Pace, Tattersalls Pace, Bluegrass Stake, Little Brown Jug elimination and the North America Cup elimination, to name a few. He was the recipient of the O’Brien Award as the Three-Year-Old Pacing Colt of the Year in 2004.

Western Terror is consistently in the top ten sires list in North America and is currently in seventh place. His progeny have amassed more than $71 million in earnings to date, consisting of 24 sub-1:50 starters and 361 sub-1:55 starters. He has produced multiple stakes winners and world champions.

While there are too many winners to mention, some of his standout progeny include: multiple stakes winning mare, Western Silk, p, 2, 1:52.1; 3,1:50.1, ($1,729,708); Two-Year-Old Pacing Filly of the Year in 2011 and Breeders Crown winner, Economy Terror, p, 2, 1:50.3, 3, 1:49, ($1,637,239); world champion Drop The Ball, p, 2, 1:50.4; 3, 1:49.0; 1:48.2 ($1,430,723); O’Brien Three-Year-Old Pacing Colt of the Year in 2011 and winner of the elimination and final of the North America Cup, Up The Credit, p, 2, 1:51.4; 3, 1:49; 1:48.3 ($1,331,623); Dan Patch Three-Year-Old Pacing Filly of the Year in 2009 and winner of the Breeders Crown, elimination. and final, Yellow Diamond, p, 3,1:49.4 ($1,387,013).
