Trot Insider has learned that Francis O'Reilly passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Providence Manor at the age of 86
.
O'Reilly is the father of horseman Frank O'Reilly.
Beloved husband of Noreen (nee Whalen); dear father of Maureen, Mary Cousineau (Michael), Joanne (Graham), Patricia (Greg), Margaret (Dave), Tom (Michele), Laurie (Len), Ed (Donna), Frank, Angela, Annette O'Reilly-Green (Gord), and Suzanne (Brian). Lovingly remembered by his 17 grandchildren and his five great grandchildren. Brother of Theresa Fargo. Predeceased by his son Jim, his brothers Fr. Edward, Fr. Eugene and his sister Rose Coffey. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Homes, 49 Colborne St. (at Clergy) on Monday, November 28, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial from Sacred Heart of Mary Church, Wolfe Island on Tuesday, November 29 at 12 noon, Rite of Committal Prayers Parish Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to Mental Health Foundation would be appreciated by the O'Reilly family.
