Officials with the Nova Scotia Provincial Exhibition Select Yearling Sale have informed Trot Insider that the 2015 edition of the sale will still take place on Friday, October 23, but it will take place at a different location due to the storm that recently damaged the roof of the Agridome.

The 2015 edition of the Nova Scotia Provincial Exhibition Select Yearling Sale will take place on Friday, October 23 and will get underway with a 5 p.m. start time. Forty top-bred yearlings from champion breeding consignors are set to hit the auction block

However, due to a recent wind and rain storm which caused severe damage to the roof of the Agridome, the location of the sale has been moved to the MacMillan Show Centre, which is also located on the Truro Exhibition grounds – it was the home of the yearling sale for many years prior to the construction of the Agridome. Plans are already in place for heat, Canteen and a bar area for the MacMillan Show Centre, which is also a shorter walk for the yearlings from the horse pavillion to the sales ring.

Tim Parker and his auction company will be handling the sales duties. Brent MacGrath, of Somebeachsomewhere fame, is slated to read the pedigrees. Viewing of the yearlings will commence on Friday, October 23 at 11 a.m. A separate viewing area is located in the horse pavillion for consignors to showcase their yearlings.

The complete line up of sales entries, pedigrees and Sire/Dam info is available online at truroraceway.ca.
