The official welcome reception and lunch for the Trot Canada National Handicapping Championship was held today at Highlands Golf Club

at Horseshoe Valley.

The 32 players from across Canada were introduced and presented with their “official” player shirts and swag from SC and partner tracks. They were also primed for this evening’s big event, which is hosted at Georgian Downs, by watching videos from the past three Championships.

The all important mandatory races were announced at the brunch. Players must wager on these races during the Championship. The mandatory races are:

Western Fair – Race #4

Georgian Downs – Races #4 & #8

Woodbine Racetrack – Races #5 & #8

Players will also make wagers on ten optional races from the remainder of the races from the three tracks listed above.

The player who finishes the competition with the highest bankroll from their wagers on a total of 15 races will be awarded the grand prize of $25,000.

Standardbred Canada would like to wish all of the players in the 2010 Trot Canada National Handicapping Championship good luck.
