The PEI Colt Stakes will host the Island Breeders Championships at Red Shores' Charlottetown Driving Park on Saturday, November 3. The evening program will feature six Championship finals with the top two and three-year-old pacers and trotters in the Maritimes competing for total purses close to $70,000.
Horses eligible for the finals earned points based on their earnings in the Island Breeders Series races held during the past year at both Summerside and Charlottetown. The top eight declared entries in each class will be drawn in to compete. The draw takes place on Wednesday at 9 a.m.
In addition to the purse money there will be trophy coolers for the winning owners presented by the PEI Colt Stakes as well as the Globetrotter trophies for the breeders of the winners, presented by Norman Hall of Pedigree Matching.
