Raymond Ooms Passes

Sadly, horseman Raymond Ooms passed away in Regina, Saskatchewan on Tuesday, October 25

with family present.

The 77-year-old is survived by his loving wife, Annette; daughters, Sandra (Steven) Reid of Crossfield, Alberta and Cindy (Kevin) Scobie of Estevan; son Donovon (Jennifer) Harsch of Chamberlain; sister, Elva (Don) Riel, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces and friends.

Ray worked at Sasktel for 35 years and enjoyed many hobbies and sports, including harness racing. Ray and Annette were members of the Saskatchewan Standardbred Horsemen's Association, and raced and bred horses successfully in the Regina area for many years.

A memorial service will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Derek Nicholls officiating. Interment will follow the service.
