The Meadows Standardbred Owners Association, in conjunction with The Meadows Racetrack & Casino, announces that a special Racing Under Saddle event will be held Wednesday, October 31.
The draw for the race will be held on Monday, October 29. The box will close that morning at 9 a.m. Please note that deadline is for the RUS race only. Other October 31 races will follow the usual draw schedule. Entries for the RUS event will be taken at the Race Secretary's discretion. For more information contact Julie Allison at 412-582-0688. A purse of $10,000 has been donated by various sponsors. A percentage of the purse will go to the Magee Women's Hospital (Pittsburgh) Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Other events will take place that night that will benefit the foundation, including an all-female drivers race. Additional details will be released in the coming days.
