The Standardbred Canada website has launched its first eCommerce component, now allowing horsepeople to securely pay eligibility fees online.

For users of the SC website that have registered with a valid email address, a box will now appear at the bottom right of the SC homepage with the My Account heading. Click on the 'purchase eligibility fees' link, enter a horse's name or tattoo and follow the steps.

Online payment is secure through VeriSign, one of the world's most trusted names in internet security. No credit card information is stored with Standardbred Canada or on the SC website.

On Friday, Alberta's Sam Johnson tested the system and successfully paid the eligibility for Scruffy Knickers.

Please note that you must create an account on the SC website. If you haven't yet, click LOGIN at the top of the website. This allows you to monitor your own account for anything that you buy online with the SC website, and is separate from your login to TrackIT.
