Yonkers Raceway is offering $10,000 worth of free wagers as an added incentive for fans to make the Yonkers, New York racetrack their simulcast wagering venue of choice.
Through the courtesy of the Breeders Crown and Pocono Downs, and with the approval of the New York State Gaming Commission, the Raceway is giving away 1,000, $10 wagering vouchers for the Oct. 19 Crown races (first Pocono post that night is 5 p.m.). The vouchers — one per guest, please — shall be distributed by mutuel department staff over the next two Fridays and Saturdays (Oct. 11-12, 18-19), during normal live racing/simulcasting hours.
Please note that the “free bets” are available only while supplies last, may not be redeemable for cash (winning wagers notwithstanding) and have to be placed on the Oct. 19 Breeders Crown races only.
“We have enjoyed a long simulcast relationship with Pocono Downs, and we appreciate their efforts, along with our friends at the Breeders Crown, in promoting their special night,” said general manager Bob Galterio. “We encourage all our fans to wager on the excellent Crown races...along with ours, of course.”
