Via release, officials from Freehold Raceway have announced that the track is looking to add three Monday race dates to its racing calendar to make up for recent cancellations.
The Mondays to be added are February 23, March 2 and March 9. The additional Mondays in 2015 are subject to New Jersey Racing Commission approval.
Freehold’s original racing schedule included Mondays in January and February through February 16.
“We’ve had some success with Monday racing so far this meet,” said Freehold General Manager Howard Bruno. “Adding the race days on a Monday seemed like a good fit.”
Earlier in the day, the race office announced that qualifiers for Thursday, January 29 were cancelled. Live racing, however, will resume on Thursday afternoon with first-race post time at 12:30 p.m.
