Canada’s harness racing champions will be honoured at the 2014 O’Brien Awards Black Tie Gala on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the Delta Meadowvale Hotel in Mississauga, Ontario.

This year’s Black Tie Gala features a “Fire and Ice” theme. The evening kicks off at 6:00 p.m. with a cocktail reception & silent auction in the Graydon Hall Foyer. At 7:00 p.m. dinner will get underway with a delectable four-course gourmet meal prepared by the Delta’s award-winning chef, Andrew Nelson. The award presentations will start at about 9:15 p.m. and a dance will round out the evening.
Ken Middleton and Kelly Spencer will host the award presentations as the coveted O’Brien busts and a Horse of the Year trophy are handed out to the winners in 18 categories along with three unique trophies for the Media Excellence Awards. To take a look at this year’s finalists, click here.
Following dinner, guests will be able to dance the night away to the music of Sound Parade, a local band who specialize in large events. They have entertained thousands over the years performing over 1,200 shows. They are one of the most versatile groups in the area, playing anything from current top 40, Jazz, R&B, rock, disco and anything in between. There’s something for everyone and it’s certainly a party you don’t want to miss!
