Northern Kid Stallion Showing

The Northern Kid Partners group has extended an invitation to an open house and stallion showing for Kentucky’s new trotting stallion, Northern Kid

.

The event will take place Sunday, February 5 from noon to 2:00 p.m. at Walnut Hall Stock Farm in Lexington, where he will be standing for the 2012 breeding season. The stallion showing will be at 1:00 p.m. and lunch will be served. Visitors may also register to win several prizes, including a free 2012 booking to Northern Kid.

Northern Kid 2, 1:58.3; 3, 1:57.1 has sired one small crop of racing age that already has three sub-2:00 performers including the 2011 Illinois stakes-winning filly Maevey Gravy 2, 1:58.2. He is a son of Muscles Yankee and the American Winner mare Swift Kid Hanover, the same 'golden cross' that produced World Champion Muscle Hill 3,1:50.1 ($3,273,342).

The Northern Kid Partners group, which includes Walnut Hall Stock Farm’s Dr. James Sautter, agreed that Northern Kid would be a good option for Kentucky breeders, who have only a few choices when it comes to trotting sires. His stud fee will be $850.

The event will be held at the Walnut Hall Stock Farm foaling barn at 4201 Newtown Pike, Lexington, KY 40511. If you plan on attending please RSVP to 859-254-5660.
