Trillium Trotting Fillies Go Wire-To-Wire

Georgian Downs hosted three Trillium divisions for two-year-old trotting fillies on Saturday and Ldees Creditreport, Town Hall Babe and Daylon Mystique used front-end tactics to take the lion's share of the $23,378 purses.

Ldees Creditreport put forth a solid 1:59.1 effort to win the first of the three Trillium divisions.

In rein to Anthony Haughan, the daughter of Credit Winner posted fractions of :29.2, 1:00.1 and 1:30 before pulling away from the field by over four lengths for the win. Youre Still Theone (Wayne Henry) was second and Paycheck Lavec (Doug Brown) finished third.

The Ira Fisher trainee, who is owned by Ely Iversen of Moffat, Ont., notched her second career win in four starts and increased her earnings to almost $20,000.

In the second division, trainer Wayne Henry drove Town Hall Babe to victory in 2:02.1.

The Amigo Hall miss laid down opening panels of :30.1 and 1:02.3 before facing a first-over challenge from the favoured Lunar Stream (Steve Byron). As the field past the third quarter mark in 1:32.1, Town Hall Babe refused to surrender the lead, trotting on to win by three-quarters of a length. Mind Over Money (Paul Walker) finished third.

Town Hall Babe picked up her third lifetime score in eight starts for the Henry Stable of Arthur and Dan McCann of Parkhill, Ont. Her earnings total over $50,000.

Henry also sent Daylon Mystique postward to score in 2:02.3.

The Amigo Hall filly posted panels of :29.3, 1:01 and 1:32. With a :30.3 last quarter, Daylon Mystique held on for the win by half a length.

Igual Que Tu (Steve Byron) was second and Im Sno Sexy (Blair Burgess) came on for third. The victor's stablemate Napanee Seelster (Randy Fritz) finished back in fourth.

In eight starts, Daylon Mystique has finished first three times with three runner-up performances. Her earnings total $124,570 for the Henry Stable and Dan McCann.
