Dave Palone broke his own record for wins at The Meadows in a season when he piloted Fox Valley Thor to victory in the ninth race on Tuesday’s card.

It was victory number 729 for Palone at The Meadows this year, and it enabled him to eclipse the mark of 728 he established in 2000. Palone, harness racing’s third leading driver by wins all time, didn’t stop with the record-setter as he recorded two subsequent victories to give him a total of five on the 15-race card.

Tim Twaddle trains and owns Fox Valley Thor with Heath Knolls Investments.

In the $25,000 Preferred Handicap Trot, Prism K had little trouble negotiating the sloppy track, scoring wire to wire in 1:56.2. Pembroke Prayer was two lengths behind in second, with Primo Spur third.

Trainer/driver Steve Bush owns Prism K, a five-year-old gelded son of Dream Vacation-La Lupa, with Mark Zallenick. A conditioned claimer as recently as Oct. 10, Prism K has advanced swiftly to the elite group of local trotters and now has won three of his last five starts.
