On Saturday, July 19, Kawartha Downs will be pulling out all the stops to celebrate the Fraserville, ON oval's 36th birthday.
A plethora of events are planned to make it a special night for all racing fans. Last year's anniversary night at KD was the most successful in the track's history, attracting well over 4,000 fans -- the track is hoping to build from that making this an annual event.
Free t-shirts will be available to the first 1,500 fans, including $1 programs, food specials, celebrity horse Goodtimes and fireworks after the races.
The racing action will include the $50,000 Anniversary Pace (an Open event), a preferred pace for $15,000 and the Guy LaRush Memorial Trot, also for $15,000.
First race post time for the evening is 7:00 p.m.
