Jacks Table showed off his endurance capabilities as he dominated the $9,000 Distance Race Final at Hanover Raceway this evening, pacing the 1-1/2 mile event in 3:05.2.
The eight-year-old Run The Table gelding posted panels of :29.4, 1:02.4 and 1:36 before putting in a final 1:29 effort to claim the three and a half length victory ahead of his stablemate Lexus Norm (James Ritchie) and the fan favourite Starbaby Romeo (Travis Bowman).
Caroline Niclasen trains and co-owns Jacks Table, who participated in Xtreme Horsepower's 1-5/8 mile challenge at Georgian Downs in August. The win was his sixth of the season, increasing his lifetime earnings to $101,911 for co-owners Peter Emann of Arthur and Joe Ruppel of Listowel, Ont.
