History To Be Made At Kawartha

When the two-year old pacing colts line up for Saturday's $180,000 Ontario Sires Stakes Gold final at Kawartha Downs, it will mark the richest purse for a single race in the 36-year history of the track.

The next three Saturdays at the Peterborough-area oval all offer special events. Saturday, October 18 is "Think Pink" Night - a fundraiser in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation featuring the Mildred Williams International Ladies Driving Series.

The night will include lots of fun, music and draw prizes. Race sponsorship and a special buffet package in the dining room are available please call 705-939-6316 ext. 203 for details or email Lana Tower.

Saturday, October 25 marks the $50,000 final of the Kawartha Classic Pacing Series, featuring the best aged pacers currently racing at KD. To view the point standings for the Kawartha Classic, click here.
