Undefeated Goldstar Rosie made a clean sweep of the 16th annual Orange Blossom Pacing Series on Friday at Pompano Park, capturing the $21,300 Final with a three and one-quarter length victory for driver Dan Clements.

The series was for two-year-old Florida bred pacing fillies.

The feature race saw Howards Twister (Wally Hennessey) shoot to the early lead from Post 6, only to give away by the opening quarter mile to Goldstar Rosie, who then led the rest of the mile to win in 1:59.1. Howards Twister was second with Carah T (Robert Roberts) third.

Bred, trained and co-owned by Tom Audley of Bell, Goldstar Rosie is a bay filly by Rock On from the Tough Sir mare, Eileen Filly. Jamie Marra of Delray Beach and Bethany Anne Levine of Boynton Beach also co-own Goldstar Rosie.

"This filly has really come about the last two months," said co-owner, breeder and trainer, Tom Audley. "We had a colt, Goldstar Sammy, who we thought would be the star of the stable but two months ago he hurt his back and this filly just kept getting better and better. I usually don't race my younger horses this early in the season but this filly showed so much promise that we decided to race her in this series."

The $17,400 final of the 16th annual Gator Series for Florida sired two-year-old colts and gelding is Saturday and is headed by the undefeated Time To Scoot.
