Trot 4 Kids 2005 Name The Foal contest filly, Cam From The West continues to impress after winning her second consecutive start at Hanover Raceway.
The three-year-old daughter of Western Maverick got away in fourth from post five before claiming a two-length lead by the half-mile pole. Once she reached the front there was no looking back, coming home in :30.3 to take the first race at Hanover this past Saturday in 2:01.1.
Getting up for second a length back was long shot Odds On Smiley (James Ritchie) and a length behind him was post-time favourite Mcfriendly (Terry Fritz).
Driver Bruce Richardson, who enjoyed a five-bagger on the evening, sat aboard the filly for owner/trainer Darryl Holmes and co-owner Gerald Holmes who both reside in Meaford, Ont.
