In only his second start as a professional driver in a pari-mutuel race, 46-year-old Barry Boitnott crossed under the wire first to break his maiden at Rockingham Park on Friday.

Partnered with Local Girl, a six-year-old mare whom he also trains, Boitnott got her to trot home in 1:57.3 on a fast track in the race offering a purse of $6,500. Last time out at The Rock, they finished third together after winning a qualifying heat on July 2nd. As a trainer, Boitnott is now two-for-10.

On Saturday, Brewer Adams showed why he is the leading driver and trainer here as he visited the winner's circle four times on the afternoon with horses, which he trains. In the featured $10,000 pace, Adams was victorious with Coldheartedrevenge, who won this year's $50,000 New Hampshire Sweepstakes in 1:50 to tie the track record for horses his age and gait.

Coldheartedrevenge's final time of 1:50.1 on Saturday was just one tick of a second slower than his record.
