Daryl Bier and Joann Dombeck's Wind Of The North ($3.80, Victor Kirby) was a wire-to-wire winner at Harrington Raceway Wednesday (September 6) in the featured $16,000 Open Trot in 1:55.2.

The Cantab Hall gelding was a confident winner over Theresademoninme and Wingus for his seventh win of the year for trainer Jenny Bier. The venerable veteran with more than $810,000 in lifetime earnings rebounded after finishing fourth as the heavy favourite last week.

Andrew Glassmeyer's Bosston Cruiser ($4, Jonathan Roberts) had an auspicious start to his career. The freshman trotting gelding scorched a 2:01.1 win in his first lifetime start. The Don Boss Vita gelding is prepping for Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) stakes action, which will begin for trotters in a fortnight.

Medinah Racing's Marleys Guy ($5, Kirby) won the sub-featured $11,000 Open II Trot in 1:57.1 for trainer Jim King, Jr.
