'Sweetheart' Upsets In Harrington Feature

Jason and Susan Skinner's BJs Sweetheart was an upset winner in the $17,500 Mares Open at Harrington Raceway Tuesday in 1:53.3.

The seven-year-old No Pan Intended mare, in rein to Art Stafford, Jr., surged by pacesetter Purrfect Bags late for a narrow win. Purrfect Bags was second with Miss Me Yet third.

Trained by co-owner Jason Skinner, it was BJs Sweetheart’s 29th career win. The winner has banked nearly $320,000 in her career. She returned a healthy $44.00 to win.

Mike Casalino's Media Queen N ($5, Pat Berry) won her third straight race on the undercard, in a $10,000 pace. The Mach Three six-year-old mare, scored an off the pace triumph for trainer Chris Marino in 1:55.
