Four two-year-old trotting fillies hit the wire together, and it took the photo finish to award a victory in the $7,000 second leg of the New Jersey Sire Stakes-Green Acres to Contraire in the sixth race on Friday, September 19 at Freehold Raceway.

Contraire ($6.00), with Ake Svandstedt driving, slipped up the rail to win by a nose over four-wide Model Behavior in 2:01.2. Both are daughters of Muscles Yankee. It was a head back to 9-5 Demons N Diamonds (sired by Muscle Hill) in third and a neck to pacesetting Prinsessa (Muscle Hill) in fourth.

Contraire picked up her second win in her fifth start of the year. The Glenn Bailey trainee races in the name of Irony Alliance LLC of Gansevoort, New York.

In a non-wagering $7,000 Green Acres for three-year-old trotting fillies, Shelikescandy (Chocolatier) was a length and a quarter winner over Coin Collection (Chocolatier) in 1:59.2. Revergreen [Revenue] broke stride and was a distanced third.

Shelikescandy has now won two in a row and three of 14 starts this year. Driven by Steve Smith, she is trained by Dawn Anderson. Her owner is George Beck of Freehold, New Jersey for whom she has won just shy of $50,000 lifetime.
