They Know Kyles Secret At Flamboro

When you're bet down to 1-5, it's safe to say the only secret Kyles Secret had in the minds of the betting public at Flamboro Downs wasn't if the mare would win on Tuesday but how quickly, by how many lengths and after what kind of trip.

The method was revealed shortly after the wings of the gate folded as driver Robert Shepherd hustled Kyles Secret out of post three in the $7,500 Fillies & Mares Preferred 3 Pace on Tuesday (Sept. 12). Shepherd and Kyles Secret gained early control, forcing Business As Usual (Brad Forward) into the pocket. Gia Diamond (Jason Ryan) sat third along the rail, keeping Regal Luck (Lorne House) parked and forced to forge on first over.

Kyles Secret continued strongly on the front through fractions of :57 and 1:25.4 before pulling away in the stretch to a three-plus length score in a sharp 1:54.2. Business As Usual managed to stay for second over Gia Diamond.

Gerard Demers trains Kyles Secret (Secrets Nephew - Jates Kate) for La Ferme Tag Inc. of Papineauville, Que. With her tenth seasonal win, Kyles Secret notched career win no. 25 and pushed her career bankroll over the $120,000 mark.
