Fair Racing Returns To Saint-Esprit

Published: September 1, 2017 05:35 pm EDT

For the second time this year, fair racing will be conducted in Saint-Esprit, Quebec.

The 10-race card is set to kick off with a first-race post time of 1:00 p.m.

The event, which is free to attend, features on-site wagering, food and beverage sales, refreshments for kids, live music, draws for free meals, games for kids, pony rides, inflatable play areas for children, and free corn on the cob.

On the track, one noteworthy performer is Crombie A. The speedy half-mile track specialist last competed in the 2017 Gold Cup & Saucer, finishing fourth. He's one of six entered in the feature $2,000 Invitational Pace.

The card concludes with a special race featuring a number of up-and-coming drivers. Danielle Allard told Trot Insider that it was important for organizers to card such a race to help give the next generation of trainers and drivers a chance to gain valuable on-track experience in the same way her sons Rene and Simon did when starting out in Quebec.

The Allard family farm is located at 248 Riviere Nord in Saint-Esprit. The races will start at 1:00 p.m.
