Dresden Preferred To Teranadawn

Donnie Rankin, Jr. whacked out the speed with Teranadawn in Monday’s $7,500 Preferred 3 Handicap for pacers at Dresden Raceway, and the gelding held on for a 1:58 in the oval’s final race of the season.

Teranadawn chopped out a :29-second first panel before hooking up with Caliber Seelster in a first-half battle to the mid-way point in :58.3. Teranadawn clawed back for a clear advantage at the three-quarter pole in 1:28 before using a :30-second closing quarter to win by three-quarters of a length over Sandburg Hanover. Kennairnlaughaloud was third.

Andy Hardy trains the five-year-old son of Whosurboy-Jet Gold for Gladys McCarty of London, ON. It was the second straight score for the five-time winner who pushed his lifetime earnings to $34,907 with the win.
