Arsenic Ascends To Saratoga Score

Arsenic, sent off the favourite, won the $11,250 feature pace at Saratoga Harness on Saturday, August 19 in 1:52.3.

Steered by Billy Dobson, the four-year-old Heidi-Rohr trained pacer was left to move first over heading to the half, soon cruising up to and inheriting the lead after pacesetter Mickey Hanover broke due to interference by second-over Starznheaven, interfering with those in behind. Arsenic kicked away to a three-length lead at the line, finishing in front of Western Rockstar A, who rallied for third and was placed second, and Mickey Hanover was fourth in a dead heat with Major Camby and the two were placed a joint third.

A gelding by Bettor's Delight out of the Western Ideal mare She's Poison, Arsenic returned $5.90 to win.

Live racing resumes on Tuesday night at Saratoga with a first post time set for 7:05pm.
