SC Presents Video Feature On Drivers' Room Pranks

Being at the controls of a 1,000-pound animal in full flight travelling at 35 miles per hour with little protection is a stressful job. Drivers have even more to worry about now with the uncertain future of Ontario's horse racing industry. To break the tension, horsemen need to be inventive.

From hidden helmets to missing pockets, drivers share the best pranks they've witnessed or been a part of.

For Canada's 2012 leading reinsman Billy Davis Jr., seeing his milestone sign converted into a ceiling panel in the drivers' room at Mohawk Racetrack is one of the most recent pranks he's been involved in.

"Recently I just got my 1,000th win and they gave me a little billboard there just congratulating me," recounted Davis Jr. "I bring it up to the drivers' room and I leave it there and everybody kind of sees it.

"Then I go out on the track for the next race and when I come back in [I see] Chris Baise was nice enough to put it up there on the ceiling filling a hole where a water leak happened. All I could really do was just laugh it off."

Disclaimer: Do not try the following pranks at home.
