Following numerous runner-up finishes, Elegant Gift capitalized off a second-over trip to take the $8,800 featured pace from Georgian Downs on Saturday, August 12 in 1:55.2.
Life Groove, off a first-over trip, faded to second and Northern Prima, and Northern Prima swung wide late to take third.
A four-year-old mare by Shadow Play from the Arturo mare Her Own Art, Elegant Gift won her eighth race in 24 starts this season, and her 12th race overall in 46 starts. Owned by Hutt Racing Stable, trained by Meg Crone, and driven by Anthony Haughan, she paid $9.50 to win.
