With the support of those 'Cheering For Charity' on her side, Barona Lilac earned her second straight win this month racing for the Stewiacke Valley 4H at Truro Raceway.

Barona Lilac rallied off the cover of Micrometerjack in Sunday's $1,375 feature to defeat that rival by three and a half lengths in 1:58.1, with Lil Orphan Cam finishing third. Paul Langille, a four-time winner on Sunday's card, worked out the trip aboard the five-year-old Ameripan Gigolo mare, who is trained by Darren Crowe.

Barona Lilac is racing for a different local charity each month as part of the Cheering For Charity event sponsored by Meridian Farms and Truro Raceway. She has won half of her 14 starts since arriving in Nova Scotia this past Spring.

Stewiacke Valley 4H will have the chance to meet Barona Lilac at her stable on Tuesday, according to a posting on the Cheering For Charity's Facebook page.
