Due to a motorcycle event next to the racetrack, management at the Hippodrome 3R has moved post time on Tuesday night to 7:15 p.m.
The action on the harness racing track will also be furious as the third leg of the Quebec-Bred Series for four and five-year-old trotters will take place in two divisions.
This is the last chance for horses to earn points to be one of the eight finalists that will race for $30,000 on a special race night, Thursday, August 9 at H3R.
The mare’s division comes first in the third race as Y S Suzanne will seek revenge against EAU Naturelle for handing her a nose defeat in the second leg.
Y S Suzanne will once again try and lead from start to finish for driver Guy Gagnon. The five-year-old mare by Angus Hall has been razor sharp for trainer Blake Curran, who co-owns the mare with Jason Jamieson of Ontario. She has won two of her last three starts, including a 1:56.2 lifetime mark three starts back and has four wins this year. She will start from post three.
Eau Naturelle and trainer/driver Simon Delisle pulled off a major upset victory last week over Y S Suzanne at odds of 22-1. Delisle timed it perfectly, getting up in the final stride to the wire in 2:00.4, a lifetime mark for the five-year-old Windsong Espoir mare. It was her third win this year.
The horses do battle in the sixth race where once again we see the rivalry continue between Kinnder Dangerous, Capteur De Reve, Holiday Party and now added to the list, KFB Amigo Cool.
Kinnder Dangerous is now the hot horse, winning his last start in the series with a very impressive wire-to-wire victory in a lifetime mark of 1:58.1 for driver Justin Filion.
Starting from post two on Tuesday, Kinnder Dangerous and Filion will look to once again cut the mile and play catch us if you can. Bred, owned and trained by Denitza Petrova of Melbourne, Kinnder Dangerous has two wins and two seconds in his four starts so far in 2018.
Capteur De Reve hopes to put a stop to Kinnder Dangerous winning ways from post six for driver Pierre Luc Roy. It was two starts back that he was able to beat Kinnder Dangerous and will need that effort and maybe a little more from trainer Maxime Velaye.
KFB Amigo Cool was a strong second last time out for driver Stephane Brosseau and they could be a factor in the race from post three.
