Jake Loewen closed out Hanover Raceway's Saturday night (July 8) card of harness racing with a front-stepping score in the $5,000 Preferred 3 Pace for driver Bruce Richardson.

The six-year-old Rambaran gelding dominated his foes, winning by five and a half lengths in 1:56 flat. Acefortyfourtalon (Natasha Day) and Jackstan (Tyler Moore) rounded out the top three finish order.

Following a pair of close runner-up finishes in the Preferred 3 at Clinton Raceway, Jake Loewen was sent postward as the odds-on favourite and paid $2.70 to win.

It was his third win this year and 13th overall pushing his bankroll to $117,128 for trainer James Ellis, who shares ownership with Sven Hansen of St. Thomas, Ont.
