Veteran pacer Oh To Be Me was treated to a ground-saving trip in Saturday’s main event at the Charlottetown Driving Park, and he responded with a strong, late kick that earned him top prize in $2,200 affair.

Trainer/driver/owner Gary Chappell got away fourth with Oh To Be Me, who watched Elm Grove Kaboom and Star Above take turns on the lead through fractions of :28.1, :56.3 and 1:27.1. Oh To Be Me found clearance in the lane, and he used his :29.1 closing speed to win by a two-length margin over Tempo Seelster. Taking home the show dough was race favourite Elm Grove Kaboom.

Sent off at odds of 5-1, the eight-year-old son of Fit For Life-Harlequin P visited the winner’s circle for the third time this season. The 29-time winner pushed his lifetime earnings over $50,000 in the process.
