Dave Briggs, writing for the Guelph Mercury, has explained that this was the scene at Classy Lane Stables on June 30, four days after trainer Casie Coleman's stable had a huge night during Pepsi North America Cup night at Mohawk Racetrack.

On June 26 over the Campbellville raceway, Coleman's pupils Sportswriter and Western Silk respectively captured the $1.5 million Pepsi NA Cup and the $666,000 Fan Hanover Stakes.

Briggs explains that the recent catered culinary throwdown was not the first of its kind after a big win for the Coleman Stable. When 'Sports' captured the $1 million Metro Pace in World Record time last summer, a food fiesta was soon to follow.

What Coleman and company are now looking for is more.

With the NA Cup now in the rear-view mirror, the next exit Sportswriter will be getting off at is that for the Meadowlands Racetrack in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Sportswriter won't need a menu for his Jersey tilts, as the only thing the three-year-old Artsplace colt is looking to order up in a win in the rich and fabled Meadowlands Pace.

Meadowlands Pace eliminations are scheduled to go forward this Saturday, and Coleman trusts her New Jersey satellite training outfit to someone who she admits that she initially thought was "useless" and "didn’t think was any good at all."

And, as Briggs explains, Andrew Harris has done nothing but prove Coleman wrong.
