Woodmere Comical was victorious in the top pacing class at Northside Downs on Saturday afternoon over last week's winner Presidential Rage.

Sent postward in the six-horse field as the second longest shot on the board, 9-1 Woodmere Comical rallied three-wide near the three-quarters mark around the duelling Putnams Power and Le Fugueur and drew off to win by over two lengths in a season's best 1:59.1. Presidential Rage came on for second over Putnams Power and Le Fugueur.

Scoring his second win on the card, Carey Romeo Jr. drove the four-year-old son of Articulator for trainer Robert MacNeil, who also co-owns with Joseph MacNeil of Ingonish, N.S. and Bernard MacNeil of Miscouche, P.E.I.

The win was Woodmere Comical's second in nine starts this year and seventh lifetime.
