Spoiler Alert and driver Leon Bailey won the $6,000 featured pace at Vernon Downs on Friday (July 20).
Spoiler Alert ($12.20) led the field through a first quarter in :27.4. Foundonabeach (John MacDonald) then took over before the hitting the half in :56.3 and he reached the third quarter mark in 1:25.2, but Spoiler Alert came out of the pocket to win in 1:55.1. Walk The Floor (Claude Huckabone III) came on late to finish second. Sweet Ashley T (Howard Okusko Jr.) was third-best.
Spoiler Alert is a four-year-old gelding by Chapter Seven. He is owned by Jeffrey Hayes and trained by Misty Carey. The win was number seven for the season as well as his career.
