Officials with Buffalo Raceway have announced that the track has been forced to cancel the remainder of its 2017 season (and simulcasting) due to a tornado that caused significant damage to the Hamburg, NY area on Thursday, July 20.

The Championship Claiming Series finals had been scheduled to be contested throughout the week. Two trotting brackets were scheduled to be contested on Friday evening, while the horse and gelding pacers were scheduled to battle in four title events on Saturday.

Closing day, which was scheduled for Sunday, was to feature the New York Sire Stakes for two-year-old colt and gelding trotters along with Excelsior ‘A’ and ‘B’ Series races.
