Soccer's Owen Has Caught The Bug

He has enjoyed success on some of the biggest stages the world has to offer, but it is some recent good fortune at his local horseracing venue which has Manchester United and England striker Michael Owen feeling some

slight elation.

A report on goal.com states that Owen, who set up racing stables in 2007, had two of his horses, Paddy Partridge and Holoko Heights, win races they were partaking in yesterday at a thoroughbred racecourse in Uttoxeter.

"It's my first time at Uttoxeter, it's a lovely track and not in our wildest dreams did we think we would have two winners," Owen was quoted as saying.

"It's only about an hour or so from my house so it's somewhere that I'll revisit."
