Trevor Henry wasted no time in hustling Calgary Seelster to the lead in Tuesday’s $7,000 Preferred 3 at Georgian Downs, and it proved to be the winning approach for the Andrew McCabe trainee.

Calgary Seelster pushed out from his pole position starting spot and successfully chopped out fractions of :28.1, :57.2 and 1:25.4 before sprinting home in :28.3 en route to the 1:54.2 decision. It was three-quarters of a length back to runner-up Pouvoir Duharas, with Smokin Bear rounding out the top three.

Glenview Livestock Ltd of Guelph-Eramosa, Ontario owns the six-year-old son of Modern Art-Cmon Mama Cass. It was the fourth win of the season – and the 19th to date – for the career winner of $224,343.
