Junebugs Baby, the Cape Breton Horsemens Association's 2014 Horse of the Year, was a wire-to-wire winner in his season's debut at Northside Downs on Saturday.

Junebugs Baby won the featured $1,100 Winners Over Pace in 1:58.3 by two and a quarter lengths over Le Fugueur and Great Luck. Fraser Turnbull drives, trains and co-owns the homebred son of Western Paradise with John Turnbull Jr.
