After a campaign with just two wins in 25 starts last year, pacing mare Im A Sumbunnie is starting to show she's a horse to reckon with this season.
In just four starts thus far, six-year-old Im A Sumbunnie has three wins -- one less than the totals from her last two seasons. Her most recent victory came in Saturday's $1,100 Winners Over Pace at Northside Downs. Owner-trainer-driver Kevin Bailey pointed her to the front against her five foes and never looked back en route to the 2:02.3 score. Favoured Surrealist (Randy Getto) closed strongly for a late rally but fell a half-length short with last week's winner in this class, Dreamfair Van Dam (Gerard Kennedy) garnering show honours.
Im A Sumbunnie (Western Paradise - Cams Newsmaker) now boasts 12 wins lifetime with earnings in excess of $12,000.
