Martin Guest NA Cup Drawmaster

Woodbine Entertainment Group (WEG) today announced that Matt Martin, left-winger for the Toronto Maple Leafs, will be the guest drawmaster for the $1 million Pepsi North America Cup.

The Pepsi North America Cup draw will take place on Tuesday, June 13 at Mohawk Racetrack and Martin, 28, will be on hand to assist with the festivities. The draw and press conference will begin at noon.

A native of Windsor, Ontario, Martin recently concluded his seventh season in the National Hockey League (NHL) and first with the Toronto Maple Leafs. The tough winger played in all 82 regular season games and provided a veteran physical presence in the young Maple Leafs lineup.

Martin signed a four-year $10 million contract with the Maple Leafs in the summer of 2016 after spending seven seasons in the New York Islanders organization. The 6'3" left-winger played his junior hockey with the Sarnia Sting of the Ontario Hockey League and was drafted in the fifth round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft by the Islanders.

Martin’s career numbers currently sit at 47 goals, 50 assists, 97 points and 803 penalty minutes in 520 NHL regular season games played.

The $1 million Pepsi North America Cup will take place on Saturday, June 17.
