Rush Rules Doubles Up At Sudbury

Rush Rules went wire-to-wire in the $11,000 Not Listed Preferred Pace at Sudbury Downs on Wednesday night to notch his second consecutive victory of the season

Making just his third start of the year, the six-year-old son of Scooter Scott-SF Cavalier was sent to the lead from Post 2 and made every pole a winning one giving driver Mike MacNeill his third straight win on the 11-race card. Rush Rules cut fractions of :27.1, :57.1 and 1:26.4 en route to victory in 1:56. Longshot Lucky Asset (Jeff Nowoselsky) followed from the pocket and finished 2-1/4 lengths behind, and Auditorial (Mario Rivest) came in third.

Rush Rules paid $7.80 to win as the 5-2 second choice. He is trained by Rick Shakes for owner and breeder Robert Truman of Harbor Springs, Michigan. The bay gelding sports a record reading 21-12-14 in 81 lifetime starts with earnings totaling $142,760.
