Running Aces' weekend features were won by trotter Banker Volo and pacer Jazzmanian Devil

The Saturday feature was the $11,000 Open Handicap Trot and Banker Volo ($3.20), with Nick Roland aboard, showed his back-class again, taking his second straight gate-to-wire win. Delivering as the 3-5 favourite, he trotted the mile in 1:56.4. The classy seven-year-old stallion by Yankee Glide had not raced since 2014 before making his 2016 debut at the Humbolt Iowa Fair track, then invading the ranks at Running Aces, where he has now won two of three starts. He is owned by Daniel and Jeralene Roland of Iowa.

In Sunday's featured $11,000 Open Pace, Jazzmanian Devil ($4.60) earned another sharp win at the top level, scoring in 1:53.1 with Lemoyne (Moonie) Svendsen aboard for owner William Condon and trainer Steve Wiseman. This was his second win in a row and ninth win in 19 starts this year. Comes Home First (Jim Marino) was second-best, while Del Rio Seelster (Nick Roland) checked in third.

The next card of live harness racing at Running Aces Casino & Racetrack will go to post on Tuesday night, June 14 at 7 p.m. CDT, with a carryover in the 50-cent Jackpot Pick-6 wager of $8,323.10.
